Map Pool Changes

Our map vote is still up for the time being so head over to the discord and vote if you haven't already. Having said that this season brings the return of something not seen in a while, regular season map selection. This will only be in place for Premier for this season but if all goes well it may be expanded to other divisions. Rules regarding it can be found here.

---

Rules Changes

Whilst no rule changes are being made to specifically Sixes look out for an announcement regarding some global rules changes in the next few weeks.

How to Vote

We've reformatted our voting threads to better enable captains to correctly format and submit their final votes to us. Take a look, and let us know if you run into any issues.

1. Putting your votes together

Captains shall select three options from the Nominated Players heading and put them in order of highest vote to lowest vote using the following template. The first name will receive three votes, the second will receive two votes and the third will receive one vote. Voting for your own teammates is not allowed, regardless of the award (this includes Best Caster).

Important formatting - you must copy-paste your vote EXACTLY, and separate votes using commas. Again we are using an automated script to process these votes, and incorrectly inputed votes may not be counted!

Your team name:
Your team division: Open

Best Combo Scout: first-place vote, second-place vote, third-place vote

Your team name: Your Team Here
Your team division: Your Division Here

2. Submitting your votes

The votes must be sent through to the following administrator;

• whitefang2360 (@whitefang2360)
• Cab (@cab36)
• Matty (@au_matty)
• rill (@rillau)

Alternatively you can submit via the captains discord in your respective teams thread.

Votes need to be submitted to one of the admins listed above or through the captains discord by the Tuesday the 8th of September at 11:59pm AEDT. Failing to do this will prevent your votes from being counted and will make your team in-eligible for in-game medals. Votes can be submitted via dm's or via the Captain's Discord.

---

FAQ

How is Voting calculated?

We will use instant runoff voting to calculate the results.

Will we receive in-game medals if we fail to submit our votes?

No, as we believe that every player should have the chance to be voted for.

How long will it take for Awards to be released?

The release of Awards often varies, but you can expect it after the Grand Final of your division is played.

Thank you shigbeard for their work to improve our scripts used for nominations and voting!

A note on vote counting this season...

Sorry for the wait on this post, the votes were a bit messy this time - but we're improving on that for future seasons! There are no player statistics this time, sorry.

As in previous seasons, votes were counted using Instant-Runoff Voting (IRV). New this season, if an IRV count ended in a tie, the result was decided by comparing the number of first-preference votes each tied candidate received on the original ballots, rewarding the candidate with the stronger initial support. If candidates remained tied after this, they were recorded as a shared recipients. This eliminated seven tied recipients, and brought the number of ties down to eleven. We've added "FP" next to each tie to indicate how many first-preference votes a player received.
