Demo Recording Rule Changes
To better our league's Anti-Cheat, we will now be able to request POV demos from ANY match played on an ozfortress server - official, scrim, pug game or otherwise. Whilst we understand there will be some apprehension to this change, it is only happening because we feel it will contribute to improving the league. Scrim POV demo requests will be worked into the existing failure penalties. Unlike official match POV demo requests, the first penalty for failing to provide a scrim POV demo is a warning. After this, the next second penalty follows the same guidelines as the official match POV requests, meaning that if you fail two scrim POV demo requests you will receive a six-month ban. It is important to note that we will not conduct random demo checks for any match that isn't an official match. This means that if you receive a request for a POV demo from a scrim or pug, it is related to an active Anti-Cheat report.

OWL IS BACK BABY!

ozfortress Sixes Winter '24 AKA ozfortress Winter League is upon us! I've been waiting 25 seasons to write that again! For our fortieth season - yes you read that correctly - of ozfortress Sixes we will be making some changes in line with community feedback.

Signups

You can sign up for Sixes Winter '24 from Wednesday the 5th of June 2024, until Wednesday the 19th of June 2024. We aim to have seeding out by Friday the 21st of June 2024 at the latest, before the season starts. The season starts Sunday the 23rd of June 2024.

Please fill out the Signup Agreement template found in the dropdown below and put it in your Signup Application when signing up your team.

By signing up, you acknowledge that you may be placed in any division the administrators deem fit for your roster, and thus your entire team should be reasonable in their expectations on division placement. We will endeavour to let teams know of changes in initial seedings before the final release. Please ensure you specify the division you truly believe your team should be in, making it easier for administrators to consult with you on your seeding. Along with selecting your desired division, please also list who you expect to play, and what class/role. We have a template below, please include your completed template in your signup application OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Staff Updates

With another season, comes multi ple changes - an inevitable part of life is other priorities taking up your time. With that, we are sad to announce that down, wills, raina and multi have decided to pursue other ventures and step down from the league administration team. However, that does leave room for new talent and ideas! Both new and old, inStinct will be joining as our first new 6's Trial Admin. catfish will be (re)joining the team as a league administrator! Finally, with many seasons of experience as a league administrator, Hawk will take on the Sixes Head Administrator position in multi's stead.

Reminders

  • During Sixes Winter '24, we plan to conduct random demo checks to ensure players are recording POV demos. Please ensure that you are recording all scrims and officials to avoid punishment. You can do this via the in-game demo system following our guide which you can find here.
  • If you are unsure if something is considered a game exploit, contact a League Administrator for clarification. Ignorance is not an excuse.
