A note on vote counting this season...
Sorry for the wait on this post, the votes were a bit messy this time - but we're improving on that for future seasons! There are no player statistics this time, sorry.
As in previous seasons, votes were counted using Instant-Runoff Voting (IRV). New this season, if an IRV count ended in a tie, the result was decided by comparing the number of first-preference votes each tied candidate received on the original ballots, rewarding the candidate with the stronger initial support. If candidates remained tied after this, they were recorded as a shared recipients. This eliminated seven tied recipients, and brought the number of ties down to eleven. We've added "FP" next to each tie to indicate how many first-preference votes a player received.

No changes will be made to the map pool - although we will be having a map survey before next season, so keep that in mind whilst you are playing out the season.

Staff Changes
As we've moved through time, so have our volunteers. Our volunteer staff keep ozfortress running, and hopefully, one day so will you!
Admin Changes
First of all, we want to give a warm welcome to our new staff members Rill and Matty, who will be joining us as Sixes League Administrators. We’re excited to see what they have in the tank, and alongside our new Sixes Head Administrator Whitefang who internally took the reins throughout the last season and kept us afloat, we’re ready for Winter and beyond. Whilst we are welcoming in some new blood, we want thank two of our Sixes team members, inStinct and mashiro, who are stepping away from their roles. We’d like to thank them for stepping into their roles when they did, especially inStinct who took the reins of Sixes and kept competitions going.
LF Staff: Artists and League Advisors
We’re currently in need of more Sixes and Highlander Advisors - advisors help us with seedings, decision-making on player replacements, and more. If you think you might be interested - open a General Ticket in admin-support.
We are also looking for more Artists to help us with creating art for our seasonal leagues, off-season cups and tournaments, as well as special events. If you’re interested in getting some experience, chuck us an application.
Looking for a League Director
core mentioned in a post some time ago that he is looking to step down, or at least back from most of his ozfortress responsibilities ideally sometime this year. This will be a hard role to fill, but we’re looking for those with interest both within our team and from members of the community.

The release of Awards often varies, but you can expect it after the Grand Final of your division is played.

How to Vote
We've reformatted our voting threads to better enable captains to correctly format and submit their final votes to us. Take a look, and let us know if you run into any issues.
1. Putting your votes together
Captains shall select three options from the Nominated Players heading and put them in order of highest vote to lowest vote using the following template. The first name will receive three votes, the second will receive two votes and the third will receive one vote. Voting for your own teammates is not allowed, regardless of the award (this includes Best Caster).
Important formatting - you must copy-paste your vote EXACTLY, and separate votes using commas. Again we are using an automated script to process these votes, and incorrectly inputed votes may not be counted!
