LAN Downunder 2026
LAN Downunder returns in 2026 — bigger, tighter, and more competitive than ever.
We’re heading back to the Fortress Arena in Melbourne on July 18th – 19th, where the region’s best teams will once again clash on LAN. With a refreshed qualifier format and returning contenders, the path to the stage is more intense than ever.
Qualifier Format & Dates
For 2026, we’re introducing a Swiss-format qualifier, designed to reward consistency and keep every match meaningful.
The qualifier is currently proposed to take place as a one nighter on Friday, April 17th, following Round 7 of ozfortress Autumn 2026.
Format:
- 8 teams
- 5 rounds
- Best of 1 matches
- Teams face opponents with the same record each round
Progression:
- 3 wins → Qualify for LDU 2026
- 3 losses → Eliminated
Every round counts, don't slip up. The top two teams of LDU 2025 are automatically invited to this year's LDU, with more invites subject to registration numbers in the Qualifiers.
Registrations are open and will close on the Wednesday 15th April 2026 at 23:59 AEST. Tickets and more details will be announced soon.
The LAN Downunder will be using ozfortress' latest map pool.
Maps can be downloaded at maps.ozfortress.com.

Captains can create Teams using the "Start Team" button on the Teams page of the ozfortress website. Once created, captains can invite players to the team. Team invites are shown on a player's profile, which can be accessed by clicking on your name next to the bell on the top right-hand corner of your screen. Teams provide a pool of players that can be signed up for a tournament. Players may be in the pool for multiple teams but only one active roster for any given tournament. Captains may sign up a roster for tournaments under the league page.
If you're new and not sure how to get started, don't fret! Check out the Recruitment category of the ozfortress Discord where you can express your interest in joining a team, or peruse potential players to form a team of your own. Teams are normally comprised of one Medic, one Demoman, two Soldiers and two Scouts. If you're new to the competitive scene, click here for an introduction to ozfortress!
