Every Map Counts!

Welcome to the third ozfortress Experimental Cup, we're in uncharted territory so stay sharp! This is the first Experimental Cup for Highlander players, by Highlander players - so it's pretty different to what the Sixes crowd will be used to, but we're sure you'll like it nonetheless.

Prize Pool & More!

That's right! This will be the first Highlander event since RSL was absorbed into ozfortress which will feature a prize pool. The prize pool will be up for grabs for all teams competing in the top division, but there will be smaller amounts to be won for players competing in all divisions:

Medals

There will be medals for all participants of Experimental Cup 3. The medals used will be the same as our regular season Highlander medals, but they will have a different name.

Medals will likely be distributed with the Spring '24 season medals upon the season's completion. This may be subject to change.

Signups

Signups for Experimental Cup 3 are open from now up until 11:59PM AEST Wednesday the 11th of September 2024. We'll aim to have seedings out by Thursday the 12th of September 2024 before the Cup begins on Saturday the 14th of September 2024 at 7:00PM AEST.

Please fill out the Signup Agreement template found in the dropdown below and put it in your Signup Application when signing up your team.

Signup Agreement

By signing up, you acknowledge that you may be placed in any division the administrators deem fit for your roster, and thus your entire team should be reasonable in their expectations on division placement. We will endeavour to let teams know of changes in initial seedings before the final release. Please ensure you specify the division you truly believe your team should be in, this will make it easier for administrators to consult with you on your seeding. Along with selecting your desired division, please also list who you expect to play, and what class/role. We have a template below, please include your completed template in your signup application.

Staff

While we'll have all our regular highlander admins on as staff, we will also have the assistance of the Traditional Sixes league admins who can assist teams with the match organization process as well as any other technical issues they may come up.

What we're trialing

This Experimental Cup involves trialing six maps for potential inclusion in next season of Highlander, the removal of Loch 'n Load, the inclusion of Natascha, and a 5CP custom config built specifically for Highlander. Full details about the maps included and the changes can be found here.

Reminders

During Experimental Cup 3, we may conduct random demo checks to ensure players are recording POV demos. Please ensure that you are recording match demos to avoid punishment. You can do this via the in-game demo system following our guide which you can find here.
