Stuck in lockdown with nothing to do? Then don't worry, because OWL is back! The ozfortress winter league has returned with a new look and a new format for 2021.

The ozfortress winter league 2021 will see teams play one best of three match per week over the course of three weeks, for a total of three group stage matches . Each of these matches will feature a pick/ban system, giving teams a great deal of control over the maps they play. At the end of the group stage, the top four teams from each division will go to playoffs. Playoffs will feature single elimination best of three matches spread out over one week. For more information about the format and schedule, click here.

The map pool for the ozfortress winter league 2021 will comprise of seven maps. Most of these maps have just been played in previous seasons, so they will be a familiar sight to many. We will, however, be playing the lastest version of Mannbase, made by our very own skaz. We'll also be playing the newly-released koth_product_final.

There will be three to five divisions in the ozfortress winter league 2021. Depending on the number of signups we receive, we may adjust the number of skill divisions after signups have closed. We will use numbered divisions (e.g. Division 1, Division 2) for the traditional OWL feel.

During the ozfortress winter league 2021 we plan on conducting random demo checks to ensure players are recording demos. Please ensure that you are recording match demos in order to avoid punishment. All plugins added to ozfortress servers in and prior to OZF 30 will remain in place. No more have been added.

There will be no transfers during the ozfortress winter league 2021. The rosters that teams sign up with will be the rosters that they finish the season with. It is very important teams sign up with enough substitutes to finish the tournament. No exceptions will be made.

Servers can be booked through the ozfortress Discord. Simply join the #bookings channel in the ozfortress Discord and type /book and details of your server booking will be PM'd to you. To view more commands, type /help in the #bookings channel.

On the ozfortress website, captains can create Teams using the "Start Team" button on the Teams page. Once created, captains can invite players to the team. Team invites are shown on a player's profile, which can be accessed by clicking on your name next to the bell on the top right hand corner of your screen. Teams provide a pool of players that can be signed up for a tournament. Players may be in the pool for multiple teams but only one active roster for any given tournament. Captains may sign up a roster for tournaments under the league page.

If you're new and not sure how to get started, don't fret! Check out the #recruitment section of the ozfortress Discord where you can express your interest in joining a team, or peruse potential players to form a team of your own. Teams are normally comprised of one Medic, one Demoman, two Soldiers and two Scouts. If you're new to the competitive scene, click here for an introduction to ozfortress!

Please ensure you have enough backups to last the season; teams are allowed a maximum of ten players rostered on for any single tournament.

You can sign up for the ozfortress winter league 2021 from Thursday the 5th of August up until Thursday the 12th of August. Seeding will be out on the 15th of August with the season starting on the same day. This gap between the closing of signups and the start of the season is to give the administration team more time to seed. The ozfortress winter league 2021 will begin on Sunday the 15th of August.
