Match

Congratulations to HentaiHaven Hunters on winning the OZF 22 Open Grand Final against open veterans.

open veterans were the top seeded team and picked Granary as the first map. The first half was very close, with the first round taking twenty minutes. open veterans' Sniper headshot the enemy Medic to deny them getting Uber, allowing open veterans to claim the first round. The next two rounds went the other way, going both to HentaiHaven Hunters. Time ran out and the Golden Cap was called. Another back and forth round started with both teams constantly trading last pushes. A Spy secured a backstab onto HentaiHaven Hunters' Medic, dropping Uber and prompting open veterans to push into last and capture the point, taking the map.

The second map was Process. The first round went to HentaiHaven Hunters after open veterans dropped to a sticky trap pushing out of last. Rounds went back and forth for several rounds. A failed last push allowed HentaiHaven Hunters to push into mid, however leaving the second point uncapped allowed a backcap! With one and a half minutes remaining, open veterans desperately needed to win so they could try and force a Golden Cap. They won the mid fight but unfortunately were not able to push last successfully against a Heavy and Sentry with no Uber.

The third and final map was Snakewater. After numerous player and pause issues the first round went to HentaiHaven Hunters. Round two was a long fought after affair. There numerous last push attempts from open veterans but finally their Sniper dropped HentaiHaven Hunters' Medic to win them the round. HentaiHaven Hunters pick up the third round after a failed last push. The final round was won by HentaiHaven Hunters after a backcap by two players, securing the map, and consequently the match, win for HentaiHaven Hunters.

Congratulations to ad hominem attack on winning the OZF 24 Intermediate Grand Final against Sergeant ( essence! ).

After tying in the regular season and trading maps in the Upper Page Playoffs this was definitely a match to pay attention to. The series began on Gullywash, picked by winner of the UPP ad hominem attack. After a back and forth affair ad hominem attack managed to kill Sergeant ( essence! )s Medic after an Uber exchange and push last with advantage to secure the first round. The second round was much the same, both teams teams on even Ubers but however Sergeant ( essence! ) managed to push last and bring the score to 1-1. The final round started off strong for Sergeant ( essence! ), managing to kill ad hominem attacks Medic at middle and keep theirs alive. The teams leap-froged Ubers a few times and traded points. Eventually ad hominem attack managed to push last and capture the last point with two minutes to spare. Sergeant ( essence! ) was unable to win the midfight and could not win the last round. Map one finished 2-1 to ad hominem attack.

The next map was Sergeant ( essence! )'s pick, Prolands with the new and improved last point. This map was a lot slower than the previous map. The first round was very back and fourth, both teams trading Uber and points. Sergeant ( essence! ) forced ad hominem attack and caused them to fall right back to last in fear of the incoming Uber. After a few trades the decision was made to send a Scout in for the point, despite the point being blocked Sergeant ( essence! )s Sniper killed the blocker which allowed their Scout to stay on the point with 4hp and capture the objective. The second mid went in the way of Sergeant ( essence! ) after they killed ad hominem attacks Medic. About a minute later Sergeant ( essence! ) dropped Uber which allowed ad hominem attack to push out of their last and capture both second and mid. After a series of Ubercarge leap-frogs Sergeant ( essence! ) managed to work their way back into pushing into ad hominem attacks last. Again Uber Sergeant ( essence! ) droped Uber and was forced to retreat. ad hominem attack managed to push Sergeant ( essence! ) back all the way, killing their med with each Uber push, allowing them to push into last after a few frags forcing a 3rd round. After winning mid Sergeant ( essence! ) took it all the way to last. After a few minutes their Medic was killed after an Uber trade and they were not able to win the final round. The map was tied 1-1 and went to Golden Cap.

ad hominem attack won the middle of the Golden Cap. A series of player trades came in for another 7 and a half minutes of stalemates at last. Eventually Sergeant ( essence! ) sent a Soldier behind and forced ad hominem attack causing them to retreat out of lobby. Sergeant ( essence! ) tried to push mid with advantage but were a bit too late, causing an unfavorable Uber trade at mid. The collapse can in and allowed ad hominem attack to push in to last capturing the point and winning the Golden Cap.

ad hominem attack won both maps 2 - 1 crowning them as the ozfortress Season 24 Intermediate champions!

Match

Congratulations to Coffee Clock on winning the OZF 25 Premier Grand Final against BUTTERFLY EFFECT.

The Grand Finals for season 25 were between Coffee Clock and BUTTERFLY EFFECT. After beating servo mutts in the Semi Finals narrowly on the second map, BUTTERFLY EFFECT were up against the top team Coffee Clock who so far hadn't dropped a single map throughout the entire season. The match was going to be tough for BUTTERFLY EFFECT, even though they were the only team who had taken any rounds off Coffee Clock!

The first map Gullywash, picked by Coffee Clock, started off quite one sided. Coffee Clock were taking rounds off BUTTERFLY EFFECT in under two minutes, and despite being able to keep their Medic dogroll alive for the last defense, BUTTERFLY EFFECT were unable to hold any of Coffee Clock's strong last pushes. The third round went in one minute 10 seconds after a massive five kill Kritzkrieg from redcoatzygote. Things were looking desperate for BUTTERFLY EFFECT as the score was 4 - 0 with time running out. Coffee Clock won the mid, with just a Soldier and Medic left alive. The round went back and forward, constantly trading midpoint and Medic picks. BUTTERFLY EFFECT managed to kill Coffee Clock's Medic from an Uber advantage push and push into last to gain their first point. Sadly for BUTTERFLY EFFECT the next two rounds went quickly in favour of Coffee Clock, ending the map 6 - 1 in the favour of Coffee Clock.

BUTTERFLY EFFECT picked Sunshine as their first map pick. The first round was a fast mid-to-last round in the favour of Coffee Clock. Despite keeping dogroll alive, BUTTERFLY EFFECT were unable to win the Uber trade and lost the first fight. The next round was much longer, caused by waiting for a Spy play after Coffee Clock won the mid. Coffee Clock's Spy play failed, so Sniper was the next choice. After an Uber trade the Sniper managed to kill BUTTERFLY EFFECT's Demoman and allowed Coffee Clock to win the round. The next round was back and forth, with drops from both Medics and Soldiers managing to force the oppositions Uber consistently. Slowly but surely the round went in favour of Coffee Clock. The next quick round again went to Coffee Clock after they won an Uber trade into last. A similar situation to last map. The next two rounds were both hard fought, BUTTERFLY EFFECT winning their first mid of the map and, after a successful spy play, managing win the last point, the final round went to Coffee Clock again and making the final score 5 - 1 to Coffee Clock.

Product started off looking like it would be in Coffee Clock's favour again. After wiping BUTTERFLY EFFECT at mid, dogroll spawned Kritzkreig and begin building in spawn while the sac wave began. Coffee Clock dropped their Uber, signaling a push from BUTTERFLY EFFECT on respawn, now with full Kritzkrieg. BUTTERFLY EFFECT managed to win the Kritz exchange and gained control of the point. However it was too late, as Coffee Clock had very little cap time remaining and were able to regain the point and hold it for the short remainder of the map. The next round was much similar, with only a single point ownership change. The third round started off with a mid win from BUTTERFLY EFFECT after their Sniper got some crucial picks. A successful force from a sac wave allowed Coffee Clock to push back in with one minute and 30 seconds left on BUTTERFLY EFFECT's clock. BUTTERFLY EFFECT managed to force Coffee Clock and gain an Uber advantage, which they then used to kill Coffee Clock's medic in the last few seconds and cap the point which they held for the rest of the round. Round 4 could still be the final round of the Grand Finals. After stomping the mid fight it was looking good for BUTTERFLY EFFECT for the rest of the match. After an Uber advantage push from BUTTERFLY EFFECT failed to kill Coffee Clock's Medic lau, Coffee Clock managed to capture the point and held on to it for the remainder of the match ending the map 3 - 1 and the series 3 - 0.Coffee Clock are your ozfortress Season 25 Premier champions!

Thank you to all the players, support staff and patrons that helped make this season possible!
