Evidence Ban

shuujokyo STEAM_0:1:721789526

We have substantial proof to believe that the above player has been using game altering third-party programs. Cheating provides an unfair advantage for competitors. As such, the player has been banned from ozfortress.com, the community's competitions, and all other ozfortress properties for a period of 2 years, after which time the persons will be on permanent probation. If they are found ban evading during their competition bans, their ban duration will be extended.

Should any players or groups in ozfortress competitions be found housing the listed player/s, they will be permanently removed from our competitions and all members involved will face severe penalties.

Thread: User Content Guidelines & Player Behaviour inside/outside of ozfortress
core League Director

ozf wordmark logo
Prior to the commencement of the season, we brought in some minor changes to ozfortress.com to introduce guidelines to any page where a user can submit a post. We have done this to make clear our intent for each area with user content. We have also included reminders and warnings in both Match Details (a part of the top info area of the Match Communications), along with the guidelines below the post section for Match Communications.

Many may recall that we stated we intend to get our rulesets to a point where we can stand behind, support and administer all clauses within our rulesets, and we feel confident in saying that we have been at this stage for a good while now. But understandably there was confusion around one particular infraction, that being the Tier 1 for Inappropriate or unrelated posting in match threads, an infraction that has been inconsistently enforced in the past. To reiterate, we now believe our rulesets are at a spot where we can confidently stand behind them, and this doubles down for this infraction.

We can and will, issue this infraction for any content that doesn't meet the guidelines listed in Match Communications. For content elsewhere on ozfortress.com, it will need to follow the guidelines put in place on that page, and will be administrated in the same way it has always been - access to those areas will be restricted.

The Tier 1 infraction for Inappropriate or unrelated posting in match threads will see an offender gain 10 infraction points, and upon a second offense, that offender will lose the ability to use Match Communications for the remainder of the season, captain or not. There will be zero tolerance on content that doesn't pertain to the match. Common sense will get you far, you are free to congratulate another team, wish them luck, or anything else pertaining to that, but content inside that same post or in its own post that does not pertain to the match will be removed and infracted.

This message comes directly from core;

I will not sit idly and watch division administrators cop abuse for the poor behaviour and straight up lack of compassion from players. We have seen it time and time again as league administrators, and many other organisations have felt nothing but a lack of consideration for the time and money expenditure to something that is run for the benefit for the community.

We as always will look to poll this in particular in the post-season. If you have issues with this, feel free to bring it up with core directly on discord (core#6440).

For Sixes Season 35, we are continuing with four divisions, those being Premier, Intermediate, Main and Open. You can find the Player Restrictions linked on the season page as always!

Seedings are listed in order, along with the format being used next to the division name. Division administrators have been updated and can be found under the Division Administrators dropdown on the season page. Expect matches to be generated tomorrow.

Format changes for Main & Open

Something to note for players in Main and Open this season, we are changing the format used from the typical and reliable Swiss to Round Robin. There isn't a whole lot behind this change other than convenience for teams and the administration. You will now be able to see all of your matches for the entire regular season! Please note, we expect teams to still follow the typical weekly scheduling confines to keep organisational responsibilities easier for captains!

Welcome back!

It's here! ozfortress is returning from the off-season's experimental cup, bringing you one of the most significant changes we have seen for TF2 in our region. The Round Timer plugin debuts for the first time in an ozfortress seasonal league. Many of you will have likely seen the recent Insomnia 69 TF2 LAN where this plugin was featured, along with our Experimental Cup 1 tournament just recently.

Signups

You can sign up for Sixes Season 35 from Sunday the 25th of September, up until Wednesday the 5th of October. We aim to have seeding out Friday or Saturday before the season start, with the season running from Sunday the 9th of October to Thursday the 15th of December.

Major Changes

Below you will find a summarised list of the larger changes occurring in Sixes Season 35. For more information on them, see the More Info link below or visit the season page.

  • Plugin, config and format changes:
    • The Round Timer plugin, named "TF2-Improved-Round-Timer-Plugin" has been added to the configs for this season. This plugin is identical to the one used in the Experimental Cup, and in ETF2L's Sixes seasons. The round timer value is set at five minutes per community request.
    • Golden Cap configs will not see a time limit as of Season 35, as we wish to consult further with players before coming to a definitive decision. Part of this decision came from the existence of newer/alternate Round Timer plugins, one of which RGL currently uses within their Sixes seasons, where the highest round score is taken at the end of the map's time limit, and has 1 point added to it to reach a new total score either team has to reach. We have opted not to include this in Season 35 or the poll as we felt it may confuse players going into Season 35, and would like to keep the scope of new plugin and config changes narrow until we know everyone is happy with these changes.
  • Whitelist changes:
    • The Market Garden... yeah you thought - The Buffalo Steak Sandvich has been unbanned for Season 35, and we will be looking closely at feedback for it in the next poll.
    • The Market Gardener was put to vote in the poll after it's brief ban in the Experimental Cup, and returned a result to the dismay of some. The Market Gardener will remain unbanned for Season 35.
  • Map changes:
    • Prolands departs by majority vote, with its future cloudy.
    • Metalworks returns to replace Prolands. We are currently awaiting the latest version of Metalworks Pro by community mapper xobile, which features varied changes over its Refresh counterpart. We will expand on this prior to signups closing, but many poll participants wished to see the Metalworks Pro version, and have provided feedback on what they would want to see in a Pro version of Metalworks.
    • Poll participants voted to keep the same amount of KOTH maps that we have currently, thus we have rotated the KOTH maps.
    • Clearcut has enjoyed its time in the spotlight but will be taking a back seat in favour of Product for Season 35. Bagel will remain as well.
  • Transfers system changes:
    • Fortnightly transfers for Sixes will remain for Season 35, but will now be limited to two player transfers per window. This number accounts for both transfers into an Active Roster, and transfers out of an Active Roster.
    • Emergency Transfers will be held to further scrutiny in Season 35, but will still be available in case of "emergencies", but we will be open to reform not only this system but the entirety of the Transfers system in future seasons pending feedback from players and advisors.

Thanks to those who played the Experimental Cup

Your poll feedback has allowed us to discern where to make adjustments this season, and because of you - we are implementing the Round Timer plugin into Sixes Season 35 and beyond.
