That's a wrap!

Season 2 of ozfortress Highlander has concluded. Thank you to all the teams that took part and competed in this season. It has been a blast watching the competition. We have some off-season action lined up for late January so make sure you keep your ears to the ground so you don't miss out.

Our slightly (very) belated Happy Holidays wishes to everyone, and we wish you all the best for the New Year! We hope to see you all again for Season 3 of ozfortress Highlander.

The Premier Grand Final took place December 2nd between ¯\(ツ)/¯ and the war room. While the war room put up a strong showing on Product, narrowly losing 3-2 to ¯\(ツ)/¯, ¯\(ツ)/¯ had a stronger showing on the second map, Warmtic, with a clean 3-0 to claim first place for the second season in a row.

Congratulations Main winners Patent Pending!

The Main Grand Finals occurred on the 15th of December, Juno's Abusement Park took on Patent Pending. Going into this match, Patent Pending hadn't dropped a map all season, so many were shocked to see them lose the first map of the three-map series - let alone their own map pick. However, that didn't deter them. While Juno's Abusement Park put up a good fight, it wasn't enough to slow the momentum of Patent Pending who won the following two maps and ultimately won the series, taking home first place.

This upcoming Season of highlander will be taking place with a Premier division of 6 teams and a Main division of 9 teams. On the season page, you can find a link to the Player Restrictions which contain all players competing in the main division that are restricted off certain classes.

The seedings for each division are listed below under the division name. You will also find the division administrators listed under the Division Administrators link on the season page.

Season Length & Progression

Like last season, the Premier division will be playing a 5-week regular season through the Round Robin system. All the regular season matches will be generated ahead of time allowing teams to see their future matches.

The main division will be playing a 7-week regular season utilizing the Swiss System. Main matches will be generated weekly as the Swiss System requires.

Staff Changes

You've already seen some staff departures coming into this season, but we would like to welcome Oldcustard to the Highlander administration. We're excited to have them in Season 2!
