The road to LAN begins now.

Get ready for another thrilling LAN event coming your way this year! The LAN Downunder 2024 is gearing up for action, scheduled to take place on July 6th & 7th at the Alienware Arena within Fortress Melbourne (to be confirmed in May). We're thrilled to announce that this year's event will be sponsored by marketplace.tf, promising an exciting showdown among the best teams in the region.

This time around, we're shaking things up with a new format. The LAN Downunder 2024 will feature a maximum of 8 teams battling it out for glory. But here's the twist: teams will be determined through a rigorous qualifier process. So, if you think you've got what it takes, be prepared to prove yourselves!

The qualifiers will be held on 17-18th May, as a double elimination bracket. The top six teams will progress to the main event in July. A maximum of two substitutes can be added to your roster

You can sign up for the LAN Downunder 2024 Qualifiers from Monday the 10th of April, up until Sunday the 12th of May at 11:59pm AEST.


General Event Information

If you advance through the qualifiers, you must purchase a Player ticket. Players will receive access to 1 PC and monitor, as well as a keyboard, mouse and headset. You are welcome to bring your own peripherals however we do not have the equipment or space for BYOC. Players must prepare a USB with their HUD and config so that it can be uploaded to the PC quickly. By purchasing a ticket and entering the premises, you agree to the Conditions of Entry.

Players: please try to fly-in by Friday afternoon as we will be having a media day.

Spectators also need to purchase a ticket to maintain safe capacity in the venue. Spectators will be given access to all player floors as well as a viewing area of the broadcast.

Due to Fortress being a licensed venue, all patrons must be over 18 years old.

The tickets for LAN Downunder 2024 will release Sunday May 19th 2024 at 10:00 AEST.


The LAN Downunder will be using ozfortress' latest map pool with updates from their post-season poll.

Custom maps are marked in italics, and can be downloaded at maps.ozfortress.com.

Captains can create Teams using the "Start Team" button on the Teams page of the ozfortress website. Once created, captains can invite players to the team. Team invites are shown on a player's profile, which can be accessed by clicking on your name next to the bell on the top right-hand corner of your screen. Teams provide a pool of players that can be signed up for a tournament. Players may be in the pool for multiple teams but only one active roster for any given tournament. Captains may sign up a roster for tournaments under the league page.

If you're new and not sure how to get started, don't fret! Check out the Recruitment category of the ozfortress Discord where you can express your interest in joining a team, or peruse potential players to form a team of your own. Teams are normally comprised of one Medic, one Demoman, two Soldiers and two Scouts. If you're new to the competitive scene, click here for an introduction to ozfortress!
