Map Pool

For Autumn '26 our Highlander Map Pool will not be changing at all. Meaning, all the maps played in Spring '25 will be played again this season. Due to the recent polling on the most disliked stopwatch maps played within our league being so contentious, particularly between Upward and Eruption with both maps receiving 33.33% and 35.29% of votes respectfully it is apparent that both maps aren't to favorable within competition. However, with the data being so close picking one map to remove becomes challenging. As well as this, another question we have had to pose ourselves is "what other maps could we add in?" We seem to be limited on options that both are in demand and promote healthy competition.

Thus, we have decided for the time being we will be keeping both Upward and Eruption for the time being with both maps only being played once this season. Throughout the season our staff intend to conduct map tests when possible for newer candidates to include in future map pools when possible. If you have any suggestions for maps to test and potentially include in future season's please let us know and we'll be sure to look into them!

Staff Changes

Sperkle Stepping Down

After being Head Highlander Admin for the past 2 years, I have decided that the time has come for me to step down from my position. Without going into to much of the nitty gritty, I simply think that it is time for me to take my leave as I no longer have the drive needed to fill this position. However, I feel comfortable stepping away knowing there is a strong staff team that will continue to provide ozfortress with excellent and exciting Highlander leagues. Pulse, woozy and indy and her jones are dedicated individuals who I want thank for staying on and assisting the new Head Admin, and I know they will continue doing great work! I'll still be around in some capacity this season to assist with the transition so don't be surprised if you see me!

Sylvie Stepping Up

Starting from Autumn '26, Sylvie will be stepping into the position of Head Highlander Administrator. Sylvie has proved to be an invaluable member of staff over the past few months and has graduated from her trial Admin position with flying colours. When it came to a replacement it just had to be her. Sylvie has the passion and commitment needed to thrive in such a role and I, core, and the rest of our staff team have no doubt she will excel as the new Head Admin of Highlander for ozfortress. I ask that you please welcome her into the position as we have and offer her the thanks, gratitude and respect she deserves.

New Staff Wanted!

With the shuffling of positions, this has opened up some room for new staff members to join the ozfortress Highlander team! We are looking for people excited about Highlander, looking to help and put in the time to help others when needed. An admin position is a selfless one, you need to be able to put others before yourself (in the ozfortress space) while remaining level headed, and deal with match disputes that often leave you unpopular with some teams or individuals. If you're hearing this and not immediately heading for the hills, we want you! You can submit a staff application via the link below.
