Maybe a small surprise, but I wouldn't say a huge one... as lews said, anyone who has actually dueled with him would know pretty well that he is a level above even very good soldiers.

But yeah, just because he hasn't been active in the tf2 community until very recently people are acting all surprised by this, where as I wouldn't have put this past him the day I first bumped into him 6 months ago.

There is in insanely large difference between being good in a fun comp then being good in matches though.

I'm sure nesk/nomey would dominate nameless in 6v6.

I don't think komplex ever said that nameless are the best tho, and they aren't. Most div 2 clans can beat them at least some of the time, and div 1 would win most of the time.

The fact is ultimate duo is not about matches, clans, status, divisions, or anything other than 2v2 dueling.

They won at that.

Point it out? Anyone who plays with us knows our limits and knows our capabilities, so frankly it shouldn't need pointing out.

Just because we aren't div 1 or don't play 6v6 doesn't mean we wont be soon, so until that day comes stop judging us/trying to cut us down because we have a player who happens to be very very very good at dueling.

No we don't, it's as simple as that. There are currently three (and only three) clans in this community I would say we had a low chance of beating, everyone else we either can or can and have. Only in an ego-driven community like this could having one of your guys win ulti-duo against expectations bring you overwhelmingly negative attention instead of congratulations.

So yeah, point out whatever you want, but we were never claiming to be better than we are, so the "oh but my gf is hotter than yours irl" shit isn't going to stick

if anyone (prolly not) is interested, top4 final standings in the end were:

1. komplex/tinfed
2. nesk/bowt
3. nomey/gutzie
4. moz/bladez

When STV is uploaded, a good match to watch would be nomey/gutzie vs komplex/tinfed. Some great rounds there where gutzie (as med) lost his soldier, but managed to take down komplex with the vampire needles and narrowly lose a medic duel with tinfed, and another two where the soldiers took each other out and the medics dueled it out
