I was wondering how to approach this situation. While you do have an advantage, ubering into a heavy on a map like this seems like a bad idea. Would it be better to give up your uber advantage and have somebody switch to sniper to take out the heavy or take another option?

Thank you for any ideas or answers.

Uber advantage is all you need to kill a heavy very easily. Be very aggressive with a multi-uber and drop the heavy quickly from up close. Demoman and scouts will shred him easily. Scouts need to make sure they stay alive through the fight, following behind the soldiers who just be as aggressive as possible.

A heavy is a legitimate threat when he can be ubered as post uber / after ammo is depleted their true potency shines. Maybe then consider a sniper to play it slow, but with uber advantage there is no excuse not to just push and win.

In general against a defensive heavy it is even more important than usual to call focus fires. Either leave the heavy medic til last, killing the very forward off classers, or (if they are bunched up) focus the heavy first, then demoman/medic - before he gets own uber.

Excellent question!

Not only that, if you actually DID have 50% uber advantage, they shouldn't have uber yet.

It's about zerging the heavy, and making sure you don't drop any players in the process. If you lose a player while killing the heavy, it's pretty bad.

maxim #1 - always multiuber with advantage

you have to kill the heavy while you have uber

you might not have to uber that fast it depends on if they have a sniper or not. try and uber as late as possible and get in the heavys face

I hope to create a bunch of maxims that relate to golden rules in TF2, I cant think of a single time when its good to single uber with advantage
