I would definitely recommend getting decent quality leather shoes especially for the elder of your sons. This way the younger son will be able to use these shoes too as hand-me-downs once the old brothers grow out of them. Also the rusty brown leather will blend well into the dust from the roads, over gloss black.

it will be tricky to find a complete set of shoes across such a wide range of sizes, perhaps consider trying to find a similar style (something exceptionally plain) and search for them all independently?

For what it's worth, I quite like Julius Marlow as a brand.

I guess you could just ask the shoe salesman when you are buying said shoes?
You can always trust the style of the men (and occasional female) of ozfortress

Crocodile skin would be the way to go. And maybe matching white suits.

which' materials are best for casual shoes for kids? I recently purchased my kids some canvas shoes but they did not last very long' thus leading me to ask if there is a better materials that will last longer and help reduce shoe cost for me as I am a single parent.

It really depends on how much money you aim to spend. If you're careful about what brand you buy however, you can get quality shoes quite cheap. For example, in Australia, Airflex make quite decent quality shoes that are rather comfortable at quite cheap prices.

Rockports, a little more expensive but they are quality shoes, very comfortable and also lasts ages. Personally a pair of mine lasted me 2 years and I can chew through shoes pretty quickly. My next pair have are on about 6 years almost.
