AFAIK that's a bug with TF2, and it has been around for a lot longer than v121. Kind of like the bug you get when you join a game and can't see who built a teleporter (that one kind of fixes itself), health value [shadow] being red when you respawn until you are damaged or healed, when you see an engineer's building on fire even though it is at full health, or invisible saw blades

The display of the number of stickies is handled the same way in the default TF2 UI and PVHUD. The truncated text you see in place of the number of stickies is "%activepipes%", and when things are working correctly the number of stickies you have out is substituted in its place.

EDIT: FYI, I did make the changes I just neglected to commit them to the repository. Since the 1.22 was the last commited version that was what was used to make the release, not the files that were on-disk.

I've made changes to the release script to bitch at me if I do that again.

We all love a game of Team Fortress 2. But do you love the default HUD? It's colourful and fun, sure, but do you think it could be improved? For those players who might find the default slightly distracting we've searched to find you the best alternatives. Read on to find out what they are, where you can find them, and why you should be using them.

1. PVHUD

PVHUD is by far one of the most popular HUD mods in the community. Mention user-created HUDs in a Steam forum, and it wont be long before someone points you in the direction of this little guy. PVHUD is all about immediacy; the components are pulled towards the centre of the screen, made big and simple, and just tell you how it is.

They linked to povohat's last release ("jesus fuck sorry i didnt realise somebody would rape it so badly") that is over a month old. That's bad news for new users, though at least Valve fixed the crash related to the new loading screens and custom HUDs.

And did you ever get my PMs from about a month ago, SpearDave? This post was related. It was from when you wanted the Create Server button changed (was too short, thanks pvh for the help!) and I was updating the spec HUD.

Barrakketh, I did. (and apologies for not replying - been slack/busy after my holidays), but im too chicken to fiddle with those settings.
With recent updates I just reinstalled the cast hud (v1.1.3) and its still working, so just renamed the menus. If you check last nights casts you will see what ive done. Its a bit dodgy, but it works. (Needs a few spacers tho i think.)
I wasnt going to hassle you until the cast hud got broked.
