Rules:
General –
This is a 4v4 CTF tournament.
Each game will be played on 2 maps. One being a map of the round.
Each map will be played twice, once as a defender and once as an attacker. Each map will be a total of 30 minutes (15 minutes x 2). The home team will select whether to attack or defend first.
A map win is worth 2 points, a tied map is worth 1 point.
Team damage will be ON (mp_teamplay 1).
One half of a teleporter can be built. Building both halves will result in a penalty.
Game days do not necessarily have to be on Sunday, any day or time that is convenient for both teams within the designated week is OK. In the case of finals, finals must be played on Sunday nights (unless totally impossible) to allow maximum chance of the games being streamed.
Game of the week -
Sunday's at 8:30 (can be arranged as different time by captains / streamer) is the designated day and time for game of the week. This means that no other games can be played at this time (some overlap between games in inevitable) to try ensure the most interest is taken as possible.
Game of the week is to be designated in each round post by the admin made on a Monday, captains for this match MUST confirm their availability prior to the Wednesday 5pm map cut off deadline. (this is to allow sufficient time to organise a stream, and allow other teams to organise matches around this) Failure to do so will result in a different game being allocated GOTW.
Teams -
Players CANNOT switch teams to respawn faster, doing so will result in a penalty.
If a player has played for a particular team in this season, that player cannot play for another team.
Players can be added to the rosters (with approval from the captains committee) up until the finals.
A slut may be used if all players in the current roster are exhausted (i.e 3 or less available). A gentleman's agreement will be required to fulfill the slut selection (opposing captain must agree to the player). As a suggestion the player should be of equal or lesser rating than those who are missing. Sluts are NOT allowed during finals.
Defence Restrictions -
1 engineer, 1 hwg, 1 demo, 0 sniper, 0 pyro.
No restrictions on the use of 1 hwg + 1 engy + 1 demo – you do not need to report nor track the amount of times this has been used.
Offence Restrictions -
0 hwg, 0 pyro, 0 sniper, 0 engy, 1 demo (if required for detpacking an entrance point that requires said detpacking, excluding genx_l2 where the detpack is not to be used).
No restrictions on soldier, medic, scout, or spy.
Maps:
A map of the round will be one of the two maps played each week.
Captains are to choose 7 maps from the below list for their team - 1 map can be chosen twice (their favourite / best map).
The home team chooses a map from the away team’s list as the second map each week.
Failure to pick a map from an opponent’s list by Wednesday 5.00pm AEST will result in the opponent being able to pick a map from their own list. This is to be posted in the weekly round post on OzFortress so there is no confusion.
Once a map is used it is struck off that team’s list (this MUST be done by the captain) and cannot be picked by a subsequent opponent. You CANNOT choose a map off your opponents list if it’s the same map as the round map.
Maps with unusual scoring systems (siden, ss_nyx) will be scored normally. Any extra points gained from solo caps (siden) or defence holds (nyx) will NOT count.

Series format:
Each team will play each other once (5 rounds). After 5 rounds the competition will be split into 2 groups of 3 teams. The bottom 3 teams will play each other once, fighting for 4th spot on the ladder and entry into the finals. The top 3 teams will fight for higher ladder position. To decide ladder position if teams are equal on points, whichever team won their round match will finish higher - if the regular season match was a draw, the team with the most map wins finishes higher, failing that the team with most ties.
Finals Series:
The final series for Season 9 will see the top 4 clans involved (semi final then grand final). The team that finishes higher on the ladder will gain an advantage by picking a map first, but also have the advantage of picking the decider map from a pool of 5 maps.
Servers:
We currently have many servers at our disposal, so there should not be any issue with game times/clashes.
All team captains have RCON to these servers.
Penalties:
Exceeding a defensive class restriction: 2 caps added to the oppositions score
Building a full teleporter: 2 caps added to the oppositions score
Using a banned class on offence: 2 caps deducted from own score
Leaving spawn during prematch on ANY MAP WITH LASER RESPAWN DOORS: 2 caps deducted from own score (warning if first occurrence).
Intentionally spamming respawns with gas grenades: 2 caps deducted from own score.
Use of illegal scripts, which include but are not limited to downpiping, quickdetting, and chophopping: 2 caps added to the oppositions score
Use of the spy disguise bug (instant re disguising): 2 caps added to the oppositions score as well as attracting a ban for the player for the season.
If a player uses team swapping to respawn faster (if this has happened by mistake, remain stationary in the respawn for 10 seconds before entering play): 1 cap added to the oppositions score.
Disputes:
Disputes will be handled by the captains committee.
