The team behind making this avi were obviously very proud of their clan and its achievements. This is obvious due to the sheer length of the avi. It runs for just after half an hour and within the avi itself theres a large chunk of intro and "in between scenes". Theres however alot of editing, and even though I'm not a fan of the washed out/sharpened look (overused by the cats potw's), the goal of the avi has been achieved - clan tribute.

It could have been shorter, it could have been edited differently, but as a clan tribute avi, it is a really good avi. Bullet for my vallentine carries

the music , altough in some cases is so oversued (adema - inmortal for example) is well provided to the different scenes and parts, i like that
theres a lot of edit, and it seems that they are proud of being one of the elder`s clans around this game

but being completly honest, the plays wheren worthy of such great edit in many if not a lot of times
there are so many not good clips in the avi, but hey, who am i to judge

man im pretty cut i downloaded this.. was decent editing, wasnt a fan of the music but seriously the plays were absolute shit.. i mean wow, a teammate throws flag out front door on openfire and another guy grabs it and concs it to his base.. why the fuck would you put plays like this in an avi?

are these guys like div1 in europe? no offence but if thats the best plays they could come up with in over 5 years that is fucking shocking

because the purpose of the avi is showing something hard, new, different, enjoyable

grab a flag and conc isnt a good thing to watch, anyone can do that

wrong

idea behind this avi was to put forward a tribute of their clan, and for something to show for 6 years of playing.

its not a potw nor is it a skills avi. it has a different purpose - clan tribute. and even the worse clans should be allowed to do that. this clan has done that and been successful in achieving its purpose

downloading because the screenshots look very nice...
Edit: Watched it. biggest problem for me was all of the songs being so familliar with other tfc avis, esp ones with wayyy better footage (ozPotw.. mocAirshot etc...). editing wise it was prety nice.

what valk said, and they aren't a div 1 euro clan

Anyway I saw it and I really liked it, the plays weren't that bad like how some people put them. The editing/techniques/lighting used were really good, the music wasn't that bad except for the first track on offense - which didn't sync with anything in the avi, but then the other tracks really blended in.

I really enjoyed the techniques used with the first track on defense, making the flashes faster and then blurring on "switchback" and also pausing the moment and showing a dispenser kill through the walls.

Only other complaint was the intro went for a bit too long, but otherwise an awesome avi.

8/10

ps - congrats on being one of the longest lasting clans in the world

X is one of the last german clans and used to play div3-4 afaik in the dead euro clanscene! Don't expect a potw or allstar movie..

trick got a point there. X does play better compared to what they show up in this movie. Dunno why they prefered quantity over quality. if the plays are not that good then you even can present it in a better way.

anyway a/v editing was good also sync but the whole avi falls for me because of the length and the way they presented their skill.
7/10 for me

no offence even if it was a clan tribute, epic has been a div2 clan for 1 season and i could squeeze better plays out of our demos from what 3 months?

no excuses, plays are still shit - sorry if i overlooked the whole genre of clan tribute, the text in the middle about dark forces and shit was cheesy as fuck too

ur a fuckwit trick this avi was great
epic couldnt do any better

+ editing, effects, sync, quality (monster kill part even though it screamed ectfc5 avi)
+ clan avi makes me feel all warm inside
+/- music (dramatic music seems pretentious when content isn't jaw dropping, some over used songs)
+/- content
- length (too much filler)
- colours are a bit harsh and scream sony vegas

7.5/10

plays don't have to be great to be a good AVI.

One of my faves of all time was the BAD avi, the plays were all pretty average but was still very entertaining :?

yeah, i watched it a while after it came out and found the plays very boring. whereas if I watch an even older avi like Team Spirit now I find the plays entertaining still (think it's older anyway).

agreed completely, especially orangebananas, he makes suck quality, then sharpens it so much.

only like 2-4 people in hhmedia make good potws

[edit]
im gonna post my thoughts while my lil bro makes indian firedance type noise/songs in his sleep. :?

There's Good avis, Bad avis, and Long avis... long avi, you cant tell, some of it sucks, some of it owns, imo, this video was inbetween good and bad...
i felt like it was trying to be LD2. and mytink put together, but it didnt come out that way. im pretty sure i saw the same alchimy shot 3-4 times, and i saw 3-4 intros, for the same players... but then there were some awsome shots, that i woulda liked to see more of. I did not like how the effects kept changing

take half the clips (the good ones) play them straight with a simple effect, and you got an ace avi.

I sat through it, congrats.

PS. if any peice of this is confusing, its probably because my brother screamed really loud in his sleep (ya, he does that..)

yeah i completley agree, the only ones that should be allowed to make the potws are smack lunar and final. ob,moonguardian and telos are terrible potw makers.

Offence plays were pretty questionable but I loved the editing/sync with some of the songs, especially chorus parts in defence section. Although some of the songs are overused a lot, they were used and synced to good effect.

x-spectator with disp kills and ut99 sounds ftw

enjoyable watch (second half anyway) wp
