We want to thank all the players that have participated in our poll! We apologise since it has been a while since we’ve released poll results due to time constraints. Included in the results are some responses to written feedback to continue our policy of being as transparent as possible. A total of 101 players responded in this poll.

Global Whitelist

Above are the results for weapons in the Global Whitelist. Most responses are aligned with the current whitelist, with the only exception being the Thermal Thruster.

OZF League and Administrators

Overall most players enjoyed OZF 21 and were able to contact administrators when needed. We’ll continue to make ourselves more available during match days and hours to resolve any arising issues. We do apologise for the multiple server issues that arose during the season, and hope they will not return for the remainder for OZF 22.

------------

Below is some of the feedback regarding the ozfortress league and ozfortress administrators that we received from the poll.

Quote:
ozfort mumbles the only thing i would like to be a thing again
Unfortunately the server running the mumbles and Livelogs died and we haven’t been able to recover the data. We’ve looked into new options and the best way to get the mumbles running again is to fix old software and make it compatible with our new server, hence the delay. The mumbles will be freshly created.

Quote:
Map picks/bans for finals should happen in the server on the night of the match instead of doing them through warzone. If we're scrimming teams throughout the week (and mainly the only people we can scrim are the opposing 2nd team) it just gives us more time to think about what we are banning and also allows us to play a larger pool of maps without being restricted to the maps that we would have banned/picked. In-server map picks/bans don't normally take that long as well if you guys are concerned about time being an issue.
Changed in OZF 22 as per Rule 3.5. Map selection can be performed in-game but must be documented on the match page. This is a similar system that ozfortress used prior to warzone.

Quote:
Would like to see matches be able to be played on fridays and saturdays. Me and some of my friends haven't been able to play for a few seasons because we are usually busy with school on weekdays. So would prefer to have matches be able to be played on weekends.
Sundays are included in the five days permitted for matches, but each team must be available three out of the five days. Unfortunately we reserve Friday and Saturday to give players a break for social events. It also allows for match organisation to occur between captains, and also administrators to sort matches and transfers. Furthermore, if we allow matches to be played over a full seven day period, players will have to be available four days a week which will cause greater disruption to personal schedules.

Quote:
Penalties for teams that disband, or incentives to stay together. It's not fair or fun for the rest of the teams playing in the league.
Captains of disbanded teams receive a captaincy ban for the following season, with repeated disbands leading to extended or permanent punishments. As for incentives for staying together, this is a great suggestion and we will discuss this in our next meeting.

Quote:
Add heavy fist fight rule to determine which team gets to pick the team colour they want
This will be discussed and potentially included in OZF 23.

For off-season cups, there was overwhelming support for an Old Map Cup. Expect this to occur at the end of this season. The format whether it is a one night cup or over an extended period is yet to be decided. Other responses (not counting the provided responses) included a normal map cup, State vs State, and a map testing cup.

Regarding Livelogs, most players would like to see the service make a return. However there is incredible work required to bring it back alive and we currently lack the technical resources to do so. We acknowledge that it provided live results and showed the booker of the server, but the workload required outweighs the benefits at the moment.

For Scout awards at the end of the season, there will be both a flank and a combo Scout award starting from OZF 22.

------------

Below is some of the feedback regarding ozfortress as a whole that we received from the poll.

Quote:
as a side note qixalite stv demos are around 35mb for 30 min match while ozf are 60-70?
This is due to SrcTV+ which sends makes the server send all events, giving casting organisations more information to work with. This leads to a better stream for you to enjoy! The downside of this is of course larger demo files. Qixalite has also added this to their servers since for your benefit.

Quote:
Somehow endorse streaming within the ozfortress community but showing various live streams on the ozf/warzone website which would further advertise the ozfortress brand to the broader community.
Good suggestion, this was considered in the early developments of warzone. Will bring this up again in our next meeting.

Quote:
Alter the map pool, bring back maps such as reckoner and metalworks into the rotation.
Quote:
s21 map pool was stale/dull. I think it needs new maps
We try to keep the map pool fresh by introducing newly made maps without destroying the consistency and fun of the ozfortress seasonal league. This means, using the latest versions of current maps and only swapping out one or two maps at a time. Being consistent with international leagues is vital too, taking into consideration international LANs. With OZF 22, we didn't believe that there were any suitable maps to be included. The administrators will continue to follow map developments and assess their potential to be included in the ozfortress seasonal league.

------------

We thank you all who participated in the poll, as it helps us greatly coordinate the ozfortress seasonal league. If there is any other feedback that you would like to provide, please message an ozfortress administrator.

We wish to inform you of two bugs in the game. If you suspect that the opposing team in a match is using the following two bugs (or any exploit) in a match, please inform your bracket's administrator.

1. Ubercharge through Pauses

This bug allows players with Valve Autoheal to build Uber during pauses when healing teammates. This is considered an exploit/cheat by ozfortress. Any players caught abusing this bug will be punished accordingly and ignorance is not a valid excuse. If you are using Valve Autoheal, it would be wise to turn it off until the bug has been patched.

To reduce abuse, we have temporarily disabled the 5 second countdown after the pause.

2. Stickybomb Damage through Walls

This bug allows Stickybombs to damage through walls. This bug applies to all Stickybomb Launchers.

Again, please inform your bracket's administrator immediately if you suspect bugs are being exploited.

Welcome back everyone! After an exciting Ultiduo tournament, ozfortress season 22 is upon us, the flagship competitive TF2 event for the Oceanic region returns for the second time in 2018. As usual, the league will be run using the highly successful Warzone. Whether you are a hardened veteran of the scene or a newcomer to 6v6 TF2 there will be a place for you in ozfortress season 22 and we hope to see you there!

OZF 22 will feature 3 brackets: Premier, Intermediate and Open. Premier will have a round robin group stage while the lower two brackets will consist of a Swiss group stage. All brackets will continue using the Page Playoffs format. Grand Finals for Premier shall be played as a no-advantage best of 5, while Open and Intermediate Grand Finals will be a best of 3. Premier will have 8 teams while Intermediate's bracket size is pending signups. Open will have an unrestricted number of teams.

All server booking will continue to be done through ozfortress discord. Simply join the #bookings channel in the ozfortress Discord and type /book and details of your server booking will be PM'd to you. To view more commands, type /help in the #bookings channel.

In Citadel, Captains can create Teams using the "Start Team" button on the Teams page. Once created, Captains can invite players to the Team. Team invites are shown on a player's profile, which can be accessed by clicking on your name next to the bell on the top right hand corner of your screen. Teams provide a pool of players that can be signed up for a tournament. Players may be in the pool for multiple teams but only one Roster for any given tournament. Captains may sign up a Roster for tournaments under the League page.

If you're new and not sure how to get started, don't fret! Check out the #recruitment section of the ozfortress Discord where you can express your interest in joining a team, or peruse potential players to form a team of your own. Teams are normally comprised of 1 Medic, 1 Demoman, 2 Soldiers and 2 Scouts. If you're new to the competitive scene, click here for an introduction to ozfortress!

Please ensure you have enough backups to last the season; teams are allowed a maximum of 10 players rostered for any single tournament.

With a host of experienced casters and expert producers, TFLIVE remains your number 1 destination for ozfortress coverage. Catch live coverage on the TFLIVE Twitch channel and find VODs of previous games on the TFLIVE YouTube.

You can sign up for ozfortress season 22 from Wednesday the 2nd of May up until Sunday the 13th of May. This is a slight change from previous seasons, in which the seedings were released the same day that the season starts. In order to ensure that seeding is done properly and that teams have ample time to organise their round 1 matches, ozfortress season 22 will begin on Sunday the 20th of May, 1 week after signups close. Seedings and first round fixtures for ozfortress 22 will be released on Thursday the 17th of May.

The classic ozfortress Ultiduo is back again! On Sunday 29rd of April, duos will battle it out for the championship title!

Over the 10 iterations of Ultiduo we have seen over 450 duos compete with a lot of fun and we hope that Ultiduo 11 will be no different. We're using the classic whitelist along with koth_ultiduo_r_b7 to maintain the old-school tradition. All matches will be a Best-of-1 in a Single Elimination format. However, the Semi-Finals and the Grand Final will be a Best-of-3. The top 8 teams will be seeded and the rest will be randomized. The same two players must play throughout the tournament. Unfortunately, there will be no medals for this tournament.

If you are using an existing team, you do not have to recreate your team again! Simply sign up your Ultiduo duo using your existing team. Only one duo may sign up per existing team.

Signups:
Ultiduo 12 sign-ups will be done using Citadel, just like previous ozfortress seasonal leagues. Signups are limited to 64 teams so get in quick! Signups are open now and will close on Sunday the 29th of April at 4:00 PM AEST!
Round 1 - 7:30 PM AEST
Round 2 - 7:50 PM AEST
Round 3 - 8:10 PM AEST
Round 4 - 8:30 PM AEST
Semi-Finals - 8:50 PM AEST (Bo3)
Grand Final - 9:40 PM AEST (Bo3)
Matches:
When each round starts, matches will be automatically generated. Server strings will be posted in the match notice. This match notice will only be visible to the players of that match. The map and server configuration will automatically be loaded prior to string distribution.

Please, start each game ASAP as there is a tight schedule for the night.

After the match is over, please submit / confirm the scores IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE MATCH IS OVER. Posting of logs is not mandatory but logs will be used for solving disputes.
